Tips and Advice - Kitchen Equipment
I waited for the UPS driver like an expectant mom waits for delivery. I was thrilled when the package finally arrived. You've got to love a product that simplifies a busy mom’s life and Beaba Babycook™ does just that.
Healthy eating is all the rage, and it absolutely should be. Fresh, whole foods are what we should be feeding our children and organic when possible. Organic foods can be more expensive, especially baby food, but now you can make your own organic baby food far less expensively with Beaba Babycook™. You will know exactly what your baby is getting because you are making it fresh. It can’t get any better than that.
Some reasons to love the Beaba Babycook™ -
• The color – the fresh sorbet combination – looks yummy enough to eat.
• The design – is very pleasing to the eye. It’s clean, simple lines and small footprint… won’t take up much counter or shelf space. You will want to leave it out on the counter because it’s so much fun to use.
• The power - this is a powerful, yet quiet, little machine that makes super quick, healthy meals in minutes for your little one. You steam and puree foods in one appliance, all in 15 minutes or less! You can also defrost and reheat foods quickly and easily.
• The clean-up - I just put a bit of soapy, warm water in the bowl, pulse it a few times to clean under the blade and then finish the cleaning and rinsing in the sink. The blade is also removable, but the way I do it makes for an even quicker clean-up.
• The plastic – of course, my first thought was another plastic I need to be concerned with? I already pitched my old plastic storage containers, but Beaba Babycook™ chose food safe plastics for their design. According to the manufacturer, it has been Bisphenol-A (BPA) safety tested and there are no detectable amounts of BPA in it. The bowl is made from unbreakable Polysulfone (PSU) and the basket is made from transparent Polypropylene.
• The convenience - you can purchase Beaba Multiportions™ separately for freezing cooked foods into individual serving portions. This is perfect for fresh frozen convenience. You could also use ice cube trays for the same purpose, but there might be a concern with plastic leaching into the food if you don’t know what kind of plastic it is. Rest assured Multiportions™ are also Bisphenol-A free.
• The recipe booklet – gives you a few quick and easy interesting food combos to help get you started making tasty meals for your little foodie.
My whole family loves the apple sauce and pear sauce that I make. The pulse puree knob lets me choose the consistency from super smooth to soft and chunky. I even make a quick stew for my one year old…just throw in raw chicken, spinach leaves, a slice roasted red pepper and a tablespoon of canned white beans. In no time at all, he has the “baby” version of our meal. I am also extremely impressed with the diced butternut squash that it cooks and purees in 15 minutes. I like to add some tasty coconut oil at the end to finish. The possibilities are endless.
The Beaba Babycook™ makes preparing homemade baby food easier than ever before. If you are looking for a baby shower gift this is the one to give and the one to get. It’s the easy way to cook healthy for your growing little one.
