Roast with Gravy

Recipes for Moms - Crock Pot Recipes

I'm married to a farmer, who is big on meat and potatoes type meals. With my handy crockpots, I can make him happy without all the work.

This little recipe is so simple and is a favorite in our house.  I hope you enjoy it, too.

Crockpot Roast with Gravy

  • 1 (2-3 pound) roast
  • 1 (10 oz) can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 2 beef boullian cubes
  • 1 cup hot water

Mix boullian cubes in hot water and let dissolve, stir.  Spray crockpot with cooking spray.  Place roast inside of crockpot.  Mix all other ingredients together and pour over roast.  Cover and cook on LOW all day.

When you are ready to serve, remove roast and put on a serving platter.  Pour gravy from crock pot to gravy bowl.  Serve.

Tips for a better roast

If you want to have potatoes and vegetables with this roast, you can halve or quarter red potatoes and put them on the bottom of the crock pot with cubed carrots, sliced bell peppers, etc.  Then put your roast in crock pot and pour gravy mixture over roast.

On a serving platter, put roast and spoon out the vegetables to put around roast.

Serve with gravy on the side.
