Revolutionary Pumpkin Custard Recipe PDF Print E-mail
Recipes for Cooking Kids
Written by Rachel GaggleOfGirls

My middle daughter was looking through a cookbook with recipes from the American Revolutionary War and wanted to make something from it. Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of the ingredients or time needed for the different treats. After a lot of discussion, we ended up adapting a Baked Pumpkin Pudding into Revolutionary Pumpkin Custard!

This is an easy recipe for kids and adults, and it tastes delicious. Most of our family dislikes pumpkin pie, but this recipe was richer, and we all loved it. Compliments are a great pay-off for a kiddo's hard work!

This yummy peach biscuit recipe is a very quick and easy recipe that the kids can help make and they will love to eat.  I started making these for my boys when they were very young and now they are in college and they can make it on their own.  They still love 'em.

no-bake-cake-kids.jpgThis easy chocolate biscuit no-bake cake recipe serves two purposes. First, it's great to make in the heat of the summer as there is no cooking involved. Secondly, my kids love to help make it (and of course to help make the finished item “disappear” afterwards!). This is a nice way keep them occupied for the afternoon.
