Turn your party table into a jungle with a grassy green cover, leafy netting and salad trees. Get your friends to help you make lots of beasty bite sandwiches and crazy creepy crawlies. Then join them as they munch their way through the jungle to the piranha pond.

Banana Birds

Cut a banana in half. Cut a small slit in one side at the top. Push a small thin slice of apple into the slit. Push one or two small ice cream sticks into the end of the banana and freeze it. Cover the frozen banana with yoghurt and then with hundred and thousands. Freeze the banana again. Just before serving cut a black grape in half for the bird's eyes.Push one half on to the end of the cocktail stick through the birds head. Break off the end, keeping a little bit sticking out. Push the other grape half on to the end.

Salad Trees

Slice of the ends of a peeled carrot. Cut a notch, about 1cm deep, in the centre of the thinnest end. Cut more notcheslower down on each side. Stand the carrot in a thick slice of cucumber with its middle cut out to make a tight fit. Wedge a small piece of lettuce into each notch. You can use different kinds of lettuce and different colours to make the leaves.

Crazy Crawlies

To make bug bodies, cut carrots and cucumbers in half lengthways. Cut two slits in the back of the cucumbers and push half a cucumber slice into each slit. Push coctail sticks into the bodies for legs and eyestalks.Push raisins and small pieces of cheese, melon, ham, cucumber and pineapple onto the legs as feet. Add black grape eyes.
