Is there a barbeque lover in your house? Consider buying him a gift basket from Country Bob's.
I'm
a sauce person. I love condiments:
ranch dressing, Miracle Whip, spicy horseradish mustard. You name it,
and I like to smear it on something or dip something into it. A-1 sauce
has a special place in my heart, being my favorite condiment since,
well, since birth. I loooove A-1 sauce.
I was happy to taste test Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce, but I couldn't imagine it replacing my old, reliable A-1.

I'm not so sure about that anymore.
I kept one of the bottles of Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce, and I asked my mom to test the other one. That was a mistake. If I knew how good it was, I would have kept both of them.
Joe and I used our sauce on hamburgers, and we loved it. The Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce
has a flavor that's completely original, a little like a cross between
A-1 and a really good BBQ sauce. It's sweet, but not too sweet, and
it's spicy, but not too spicy. It would also be good to dip french
fries in, I think. I like to dip my fries.
Some time later, we realized that Country Bob has dozens of recipes on their site, and we decided to try one of those.
Of
course, then we realized that we had about seven pounds of fresh
vegetables, and we decided to make stir fry instead. Lucky for us, the
Country Bob folks had a recipe for chicken and cashews. We made Cashew Chicken Stir Fry without the cashews and with a lot of vegetables. We made the sauce by combining 1/2 cup of Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce
with 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup of water, and 2 cloves of minced
garlic. Towards the end of the cooking time, we added the cornstarch
and water as the recipe directed. I liked the sauce, and Joe loved it.
One day when my mom was over, I asked how she and my sister and my dad liked the Country Bob's sauce. She said,
Oh, we loved it. We used a recipe from the website called Chicken GREAAAT,
but we made it with pork instead. We ate all of the pork for supper,
but we liked the sauce so much that we saved it and cooked chicken in
it the next day. The day after that, we put some of that same sauce
into our baked beans.
I'm not sure if all of
that saving and reusing is all that good for you; I wouldn't recommend
it. Apparently, my and my sister really liked the Country Bob's sauce.
Joe and I liked it, too, but we do have one complaint: we
would like Country Bob's to come in a bigger bottle. Two recipes and
our bottle was all used up. When they start making it, we'll be buying
in bulk.
