Feeding Children

What's the right nutritional balance for a growing child? How do you persuade a picky eater to try something new? What's the best way to teach children about the importance of a healthy and varied diet? What about kids who will eat only bland foods that bore their parents to tears? Do kids really need to try everything on their plates?

These questions - and countless others like them - are common to most parents and caregivers. Feeding children certainly presents its challenges, but also many opportunities to instill in children healthy eating habits that will serve them well throughout their lives.

In this section, you'll find tips, anecdotes, and of course recipes. Please join in the conversation and let us know what works for you, and what questions you have about feeding children.

If you’re looking for an updated version of your old baked pasta classic, you’ve come to the right place.

This is one of those recipes that I love to prepare for dinner, because everyone in the family gladly eats it, it comes together easily, and it doesn’t break the bank. Pumpkin Bread: A Healthy Treat PDF Print E-mail
Feeding Children

It comes together very quickly (even when the kids help, despite my recent post!) and freezes beautifully. There’s no reason not to have a few slices in the freezer ready to defrost at any time.
