This rice pudding is super easy if you have a crock pot or just simply easy if your using a stovetop. I took a recipe from Jamie Oliver and altered it to be mom friendly. In other words, easy for those of us with little time on our hands.
This rice pudding is super easy if you have a crock pot or just simply easy if your using a stovetop. I took a recipe from Jamie Oliver and altered it to be mom friendly. In other words, easy for those of us with little time on our hands.
- 1 cup of jasmine rice
- 5 cups of low fat milk
- 2 tbsp of real vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 3 tbs of cinammon
- 1 tsp of nutmeg
Put all of it in a crock pot and turn on high. It will be done in a few hours. When all the ingredients make a nice pudding texture. You may need to add a little milk if its too thick.
If your using the stovetop. Put all the ingredients in a big, nonstick pot and put a lid on it on very low heat until you get the same consistency. Add milk if too thick also.
If you find the pudding needs more sugar or spices, do so when hot, it will mix right in. Refrigerate or eat hot.
Their isn't much sugar and the ingredients are all good. If you want to go an extra healthy step for a dessert so yummy, use real vanilla beans and add raisins.
Have fun.
