This smoothie is great for those in a hurry mornings. It can be ready in less then 5 minutes. Especially good for the teenager that is in the "I-can't-eat-breakfast" mode. Buttermilk can be substituted with plain yogurt. However it might need extra honey as yogurt is more tangy then buttermilk.
Ingredients:
-
1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk (or plain yogurt)
- 2 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
- 2 tablespoons honey (more or less to taste)
Methodology:
Combine all ingredients in blender and process until smooth.
Pour into 2 tall glasses. 2 servings.
Tips:
Blueberries can be substituted with all berries. The honey needs to be adjusted according to the sweetness of the fruit.
As an after school or in front of TV snack add a couple of spoons of sunflower seeds and serve with a spoon.
